Sea To Sky Tram (Cable Car) Transport Project For The Central Travancore Region Consisting 4 Districts (Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki And Alappuzha)

Central Travancore Chamber of Commerce and Industry propose a Sea to Sky Elevated Rapid Tram (Cable Car) Transport System for the Central Travancore region in the wake of the proposed Sabari International Greenfield Airport. In view of identifying new business ecosystem with a surge of development possibilities of this region, the Central Chambers initiate a decentralized and sustainable rural development scheme linking 20 rural tier 2 / tier 3 townships of the Central Travancore Region of 4 Districts – Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Alappuzha. The region is blessed by Kumarakom Backwaters, Alappuzha Beach, High Ranges and an operational inland Port at Kottayam.

Fundraising

The estimated cost of the project is about Rs. 1500 crores. A “CIAL Model” company can be established giving 51% shares to the State and the Central Governments (Rural Infrastructure Funds from Union Govt.) and 49% shares are to be issued to the Kerala Investors.

It is planned to organise a Fundraising Event – “Sabari Investors Meet 2020” in September 2020.
